Sarah & Daniel were married at Tangalooma in early June. I traveled across from Brisbane in the morning and headed straight for the ceremony location. I was a little early which was great, that meant that I was able to take some time gather some establishing shots. It was an overcast day and mother nature kept us guessing as to whether it was going to rain. The ceremony was held outdoors in the lawn surrounded by gardens and with the ocean providing a lovely background. The overcast day worked in my favor as the ocean wasn’t as bright as it sometimes can be with the sun, which meant I didn’t have to blow out the exposure too much.
The guests started to arrive and it wasn’t too long before everything and everyone was in their place. Daniel arrived and just as things were about to get underway, a drop of rain hit my lens! Not having my cleaning cloth handy, I had to madly polish the lens with my shirt which just made it smudge worse. But with much persistence, I finally got the lens clean again just in time to catch the bagpipes beginning to play and welcome the arrival of Sarah the bride. It was a nice and relaxed ceremony followed with a short photo session with friends and family on the beach. Then it was time for me to pack up my gear and jump on the boat back to Brisbane.
I recently completed the DVD and posted express to the happy couple. Mother of the bride, Anna (whom had organised the wedding video booking with me months earlier) has provided me with some nice feedback, which you can read here. It’s always such a good feeling to hear that my customers are happy
